Default What is the easiest way to remove the 2003 Honda Civic front emblem?

I have a 2003 honda civic and I am trying to remove the emblems. The back one came off pretty easy with a hair dryer and dental floss but the front one just wont budge. It broke the floss and even a credit card won't get it off. I am afraid that there are screws or something but it isn't coming off easily. What is the recommended way to remove the front emblem for it?

Floss won't work, it's "riveted" on. Most Honda front emblems are. When you do get it off you will then have two vertical holes exposed and you'd have to fill them.

Is it a metal emblem or a plastic emblem. a plastin one can be broken of with a screwdriver. a metal one is going to have screws that are going to be a pain in the butt to take off.

hes right. open the hood and look behind where the emblem sits. you might see the 2 pegs. older hondas didnt use rivets, it was 3m douple sided automotive tape (or something similar) and the pegs were uses to allign it properly. newer hondas may have rivets, a drill would break the rivets free from the emblem but youd still have the two holes to fill, sand, paint, clear, and wetsand for the stock paint finish. the 2003 civic, however the emblem is in the grille. why remove it? the grille would look retarded without the emblem.. ebay.com should have replacement grilles with a mesh backing, they would still have to be painted.

edit: found this pic. grille with emblem removed: http://www.drycarbonwrap.com/installs/civic_grill01.jpg

so you have two ugly small holes in your trunk now? gross.

anywho, the front emblem just snaps in, you may need to use a little more force to pull it out.
