Default What engine do I have?

I bought a 04 civic with vtec but I don't know specs or engine codes for it. I wanna know info like hp & torque. The previous owner took the model sticker off so I don't know where to start.

Edit: I want to know specs on my engine and I know it's not an si. It's a 2004 civic with vtec. Sticker that says the model was removed but it has Honda brand alloy wheels and the tranny says pmr- h4 if that helps. I am hoping to Jesus it's not the 115 hp.

Look at your VIN.

The 4,5,6th digits tell you your engine type, or you can look at the 7th digit which will tell you the trim. Swing by any autoparts store, pick up a manual, crack it open, and there will be a VIN description in there that will tell you what it is.

If your sure you Dont have a Si (for this generation its only a hatch like this)

Now if you have VTEC but not from a Si trim, that leaves you with a EX, either way if its a sedan or a coupe it would have the D17A2 engine.

specs are as follows (quoting

o 2000-2007 Honda Stream 1.7 (Japan)

check here to see your engine code:

up close:

yours wont say H23 like this picture but its a illustration of what the code looks like and where.

Your Vin # should also read something like this: 1HG[EM2]. EM2 would be the chassis code which relates to the trim/model with associates which engine it has.
