Default I just surpassed 100,000 miles on my 2005 Honda Odyssey. Is that a lot of mileage for only 5 years?

It's mostly highway miles, so I guess at least that is good.

I think average is like 15,000 or so, so a little above but I wouldn't say abnormally high. I have about 75,000 on my car and it is twice as old.

Really with you living in the sticks, I would expect more miles than that.

According to my old insurance company, 12,000 miles a year is average. When I bought my MPV 3 years ago, it had 30,000 miles on it. Now it has close to 80,000.

This got me thinking about a question I've had. Stand by . . .

That is 20,000 miles a year or 20000 mi/year = 1667 mi/month = 55 mi/day = 2.3 miles an hour. Drive faster, slowpoke. I can walk twice as quickly.

I've got a beautiful Mitsubishi Eclipse running like new on 180,000 miles. I recently repainted it, did some mechanical work, and installed new rims. When my friends find out how many miles it has, they'd never guessed it. My answer is no, thats not a lot of miles for 5 years.

I don't think that is bad for 5 years! The engine will hold up as long as you have regular oil changes and maintenance done.
