Default What type of accord do I have?

I would like to know if it is DX, LX, or EX...

It's 1996 Honda Accord

4 door

4 cylinder

5-speed

No moonroof

Has A/C (don't know if that matters)

Power windows and locks

It may have had cruise control (there's a button for it and it turns green when "on" but the car doesn't cruise so it may just be broken)

The radio to me looks pretty simple but I don't know if it's special looking for its time.

I'm not sure what other specs would help specify the exact model.

Anyone know the answer?

Where on the car would it be written on?

Sounds like an LX model from your description but hard to tell without seeing it. The EX probably would have had a moon-roof IIRC and the DX might not have had cruise.

You can call any Honda dealer service department, give them the VIN and they should be able to tell you which model you have for sure if you really want to know.

this is usually written on the trunk of the car.. but anyways,

since you have things like power windows and locks, a/c, cruise, and whatnot means its definetly not the DX,

the dx is the most simple model and has no options, the LX is the luxury version comes with all the power upgrades and the EX is the same as the LX yet more sporty version so it has the upgraded engine and brakes.

i think you have the LX

DX has hand roll up windows.

so you obviously dont have DX.

EX has a sunroof.

so you dont have EX.

i think SE has a sunroof.

so im pretty sure you have a LX, also SE was only available in Automatic, hence again, i say you have a LX.

Where on the car would it be written on?

it wont be only on the trunk it has emblems, but they could easily fall off.

if it was a DX you would be able to tell by the body side mouldings and handles that are black (not painted to match the car like this:
