Default thermostat location on 2002 honda crv?

Car over heated, bf replaced the radiator hose because it did have a small hole. Then he replaced fan switch. Car still over heats, mechanic suggested he replace the thermostat. He's familiar with honda motors however not for this generation of honda motors. So he's not to sure where it might be located. We've searched all over the internet, but found nothing.
