Default Will a B16A fit in my 96' Honda Civic?

So i have a 1996 Honda Civic. Right now it has a D16Z6 engine but i do not like it so i was wondering if i can put a 88-91 B16A. Will i need a new frame? Will i need new engine mounts? Or is there any thing else that i will need to change it?

you wouldnt need a new frame, your car doesnt even have a frame. the 96-99 civic si came stock with a b16. but the b16 out of a jdm 88-91 may be cable linkage, civics went to hydro linkage in 92. also, the 88-91 b16a, because of the year would be 0bd0 while your car is 0bd2. the wiring would be a bitch if thats the case. you will need new mounts because the d series motors and the b series motors are a little different, hasport does sell mounts for almost any swap. in my book your better off finding a b16 out of a 96-99 civic si. the stock mounts with it should fit right in with your civic as the engine bays are identical

wow that a pain in the neck to do. because you will be using obd0 and you have obd2. the wiring harness may not be compatible with many things on your car. get a 99-2000 Si b16A motor. it will be much better and alot easier to install. you will just need the engine, motor mounts, transmission, ECU, and wiring harness.
