Default whats wrong with my 2002 honda civic LX?

While I was driving one day it just stopped, it would not accelerate or shift.















when i started it back up it made a loud revving sound,now the battery is completely dead.















(im a girl i cant really explain in much detail sorry)

Maybe some linkage problems from the accelerator pedal to the engine. Not for sure but its something to check
