Default Are late 90's civics a good buy?

Are they as reliable and good quality as the 2000 civics?

I personally think there better than newer civic's, yet the flaw is that with so many thieves out there you get a nice car for someone else to steal.

No because they are not that great of cars and they are easy to steal. You should get something else like a 2000 or 2001 Honda Prelude because they are great looking cars and they have more power and they are faster then any civic. Also you will see a thousand civics to every 1 Prelude. Get the more expensive nice car that you won't see a lot of people have and you won't see any stupid teenagers have them because they are out of their price range and they can't afford the insurance. Also the Prelude has better handling then the civic, more hp, faster and can actually go 140mph and the better engine. You will get a lot of compliments if you have this car but I see a million civics a day and they all look the same and that's sh*tty. Also the thing with the 2000 or 2001 Honda Prelude is that they have an immobilizer so that no one can ever steal your car. Also the key that you get for your car is the only key that will start it and drive it off because it has a computer chip in it and if you ever lose that key you will have to get a whole new immobilizer unless you have the red key to go with it. As long as you have your key no one will ever be able to steal it. That's why when I lock my doors when I leave the only thing I'm worried about is someone breaking in my car but I know they will never be able to drive it off. A lot of cars don't have this especially late 90's civics and they are probably the easiest to steal. Don't get a civic unless you want to be like all the millions of other teenagers who have them and think they are cool with their 747 boeing wing and their fart can exhaust. Get a 2000 or 2001 all stock real clean Honda Prelude and you will love it.

You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com

there isnt really much difference between the 1996-2000 civics. the style changed in 1996, and didnt really change again until 2001, so theyre pretty much the same.
