Default Is 1993 honda civic del sol a good first car for me?

Well first off im a 15 yr old guy turnin 16 in lil more than month and we bought this car, a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol S. Has a 4cly 1.5l engine. I like it because there are only 2 seats and it looks sporty with the targa top and such. only has 104k on it and im thinkin well its a honda should be no big deal, oil changes, coolant flush, brake job, new tires, and tune up and itll be set right?

anyway i want to know the following:

-Is it fast?

-Is it good on gas?

-Is it a good car for a guy?

ya i thought it would be a girl car. but then again if i tint the windows, put some nice chrome rims, get aftermarket head tail and fog lights and put a lot of chrome on it, think itll be good?

Not for most 16 year old guys. Unless you have won many fights before.

You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.fateback.com

I think it's moderately fast, but nothing a new Civic can't beat.

It's a gas sipper. 2 seater and 1.5L engine! If you got the manual transmission, then you got it made.

If you're not a huge guy, it's cool. I tend to associate these cars with small, blonde girls, though.

Go for it. I like them. They can be girly but also not girly, it's just what you do with them. The stock ones tend to look a bit girlish though.

But look at these Del Sols, there are a lot of guys out there who wouldn't mind driving them:

Of course though, they can look girlish:

They are alright in terms of speed, the 1.5L doesn't have much "umph" like the 1.6L in the Si. There's always the option of upgrades to make it faster anyway, like engine swaps.

Definitely good on gas, you should be getting at least 30mpg average."oil changes, coolant flush, brake job, new tires, and tune up and itll be set right?"

Don't forget transmission fluid change, just as important as engine oil. Make sure you use ONLY Honda ATF or MTF.

If you put dual exhaust on it you will get acceleration. The motor is a little small so you probably won't have a good high speed but i could be wrong as those are small cars
