Default f23a engine swap into a civic?

hey well im kind of new to all this honda tuning stuff and what not, but the other day my dad was giving a f23a engine by his friend who no longer needed it . so my dad took it now i looked it up and seems as its a pretty decent engine (when it comes to power) and i have a stock d16y8 engine in my civic . so i was thinking about swapping ( and no worrys my dad has ALOT of skill with cars and engines ) but anyway i was looking up about the swap and found very little close to no swaps at all. is the f23 a unswapable engine? is it not worth it? anyone who knows about this stuff your opinions and answers will be much appreciated thank you..

the F23 swap into a current d16y8 is not a very common swap. alot of people prefer the h22 into the civic or upgrade the f23 into an h22. but if you research it the f23 uses the same mounts as the h22 the only difficult thing would be the harness because the h22 and the f23 change. if you use the h22 swap mounts for the f23 it will bolt up but you are going to have to customize the harness and make it yourself or atleast repin the harness so it works for the civic application. but you can use alot from the h22 swap and alter it to your needs. or just get an underhood harness from an accord with an f23 and get the underdash harness from your civic and repin the civic harness to match the f23 harness. but your dad will hopefully know what all of that means
