Default 91 Honda Civic Hatch.. what model do i have??

do i have the dx or ef model??

i not sure because i noticed it had a switch that the dx version didnt have. it was for the mirrors to adjust them and the switch was located behind the steering wheel.

the emblems on the back are gone so i cant tell what model it is..

I'm not sure if you meant ef or ex...

The 91 Civic hatch chassis code is EF. This is the same for all 89-91 Civic hatches.

For the trim level, which I guess you are asking about, its hard to say, but since it doesnt have a sunroof, but has the side moldings along the doors, i would say it is a dx trim.

That being said, you have a 1991 Honda Civic Ef Dx hatch.

Simple I got your best answer.

EF simply denotes 88-91 Civic, 4th Generation.

For the US Civics (EF) you had two choices for the hatchback model, base (aka dx) and si.

its very simple the Si had a power sunroof, where as the DX did not, also the DX does not have a tachometer and usually has black (unpainted) bumpers.

If i am correct your VIN will have ED6 in the 4th 5th and 6th position.

ie 1HG(ED6) or something like this.

Yours is 100% sure, DX or base (which is the same).
