Default What does 140hp @ 6000 rpm mean?

I know thats the MAX hp produced at 6000 rpm, but if the redline is at 6500, will the hp stay the same for the additional 500 rpm or will it decrease?

Also whats the best shift point for optimum acceleration: the redline or the rpm at which the MAX hp is produced?

Thanks.

HP numbers will actually decrease at 6500.

The best shift point to me is a little passed the max torque rating. So when you shift, the drop is still close to max torque.

steady build to 6k and falls off after that//give that engine a break/i mean at 140 hp your not going to run it at daytona/smallest i built was blowing about 650/that will hurt your eyes

140hp @ 6000rpm means that is the most power your car will make and it tells you where it'll reach that max power

everything that is not at 6000rpm is lower than 140hp

so no..the hp will NOT stay the same for the additional 500 rpm

it is best to shift a little past the max hp rpm

so you could shift at like 6000 or 6100 and you'll be fine
