Default 2001 Honda Civic Power Window Problems

So I have a 2001 Honda Civic and the Passenger Power Window has been giving us some problems. From doing some searching we thought it sounds like the motor/regulator so we picked up one from our local salvage. When I put the new motor in the regulator will do down, but it will still not go up (same problem we had before). Does anyone out there know a solution? Could it be the relay? Also in the mean time does anyone know how to get the Regulator into the up position so we can at least get the window back in? Thanks a tonne!
