Default whats wrong with my honda civic?

I have a 2004 honda civic and it has 140k miles and i never had any problems with it till this past month the car got really warm and I had 2 garages both look at it and both said the head gasket was bad so it has now been fixed about 2 weeks and yesterday the car got hot agian and the antifreeze reserve bottle was bone dry! Tonight i drove it for 30min and made sure the reserve was full when i left and when i got back the reserve is bone dry again and there is leak behind the block and it is very wet near the right tire and is green of antifreeze what is causing this!

check your coolant lines going to the motor. also check the engine block for cracks near the site.

how is your engine compression?

You already answered your own question. Its leaking antifreeze which is causing the engine to overheat.

oh never mind on the compression question

but i would check all of the coolant line, the resevoir and the thermostat. most over heating problems occur because of a faulty thermostat

Perhaps the head gasket was never the issue? until it over heated.

Anyway when the head was replaced, fixed or the gasket was redone a proper shop would have had the head and block checked for warpage an if it was not in tolerance done something to fix it. My guess is the head is indeed warped (or cracked) to such a point not even the best head gasket will seal. Many mechanics are parts replacrers and will not take the time to really assure their work is needed or done correctly so you might have the same problem you started with.

Good luck

obviously it was a manufacture error. the material on the antifreeze tank has probably worn down and wares down easil even after repair. i would suggest replacing it

you need to fill up the radiator not the tank.

Loosing coolant is the problem of overheating in your car. Probably, coming from your water pump or hose. It could be from the start, the problem is not your head gasket or probably also after the head gaskets water pump failed., we never knows. Hope this help!

You should ask for your money back. If it was your head gasket, you would know. Your car would be blowing white smoke out the tailpipe. Lots of it.. It sounds like you may have a bad hose or maybe a leak in the radiator.

thats not always the case, yes the smoke would be a signal of a head gasket, but a head gasket also helps with cooling... to a point. lets say the gasket decays at the cooling port, now you have somewhere for coolant to leak
