Default How do you like your Honda ?

We are thinking about a Honda Accord, 2000' or above. I can't recall Ever hearing anything bad about them.

Tell me your opinion.

Thanks.

They're reliable vehicles and they retain their value even if they are old. My Honda Civic depreciates about $1000-2000 every year - which is really good. Their maintenance costs are higher than that of American cars but I find that it's worth every penny. Just be glad you don't (I hope you don't!) own a German car because maintenance on those puppies are RIDICULOUS (I used to own a BMW, Benz, and VW)!

I agree with the first respondant. Forget Honda's. They are no better than average and are overpriced. I owned one Honda and was dissapointed. American cars have gotten so much better, that Japanese cars are no longer an attractive option. Statistically, some Korean cars fare better than some Japanese cars, so the whole quality myth has been solved too.

shaken, not stirred

seriously though, they are notoriously expensive to repair compared with similar japanese makes. Compared to local cars they are overpriced but not worth the premium

these vehicles are easy to maintain, the Honda city 2010 for example needs to changed oil every 10,000kms compared to others which is 5,000kms. very economical too, you can have 20 plus km to a liter of gas in highway, in an economy run it can even reach 30km per liter. now that's very important especially nowadays.. follow that leader, he's on a Honda

I love them.

Hondas in general are well-designed, durable, fuel-efficient cars. Don't let anyone tell you any different. The 'European' idea of maintenance is near-daily upkeep, and the Detroit idea of build quality is the owner rebuilding half the vehicle every year.

Honda parts tend to be more expensive than other non-luxury marques. There are some things you don't want to skimp out on, but most repair work can be done by independent garages. The engines are extremely well-built and deliver reliable service for many, many years. Like all cars there have been problems with some automatic transmissions, but this is the case for all makes.

The only real downside are the arrogant dealerships (and their service departments...), but this is why I recommend independent shops.

Honda's... Any well maintained Honda is an excellent value. I have a 1994 Accord 280/K miles, runs like a top. 1992 Civic 135/K miles, runs like a top. 2005 Accord, 89/k Miles, runs like a top. 2000 CRV 120/K miles, runs like a top. OK, any questions?

Mine always starts in any weather.Never a hic-cup.Comfortable and it sees a Gas pump every 3 weeks.A great Car for re-sale value,no matter how old it gets,it's always in demand used. The Accord has been and always will be a trend setter and the car all others want to be like.Get a four cylinder and forget the six.The new Four cylinder makes 190 hp and will get you down the road smartly and cheaply. On the down side,if you need an OEM "dealer only"part you'll have to bend over and take it where it hurts.Honda OEM Parts are outrageous.Once your past the 100K waranty use the parts site below.
