Default 93 Honda Prelude H22a?

Hi we have a 1993 Honda Prelude with a 1996 JDM H22a vtec OBD1 which block is cracked, we recently bought a 1997 H22a OBD2. Can we spaw the engine for the OBD2? Would we need a different ECU? Or if we can use the block from the 1997 to put to the 1996 head, so we save a lot of troube, would that be possible too?

It's not the engine that changed on the OBD1 - 2 it's all the controls around it. Block & head should be fine, just use stock manifolds & sensors, dizzy might need changing too, or maybe not.

you can use the block from the newer h22 but i would suggest useing the whole 1997 h22 engine. the engine would fit into the 1993 honda prelude...if you have any questions about the h22 let me know
