actually if u do it urself u need new headbolts (for good measure $100) & a good metal headgasket $100 & misc crap $50, so lets say $300 total if you have the tools & do it urself, $800-1600 if you take it to a shop.

gimme $500 & ill come lightly port the mofo & install/port match a header & your intake gasket & ull get 2-3 more mpg & 50 more hp

About $600-$1000 (put your own zip code in the first source for a better estimate where you are). The parts are between $200 and $500 while the labor runs $400-$500. I recommend a genuine Honda head gasket - with that much labor involved you don't want to cheap out on the parts.

There is also a distinct chance the head is warped if the failure was caused by overheating. Having the head milled will add about another $100 to the price.

head gasket kit from your local parts store probably $50. includes all necessary gaskets. Or buy them individually. a shop will charge $300-500. ask older adults where they take their cars to get a good mechanic who will cut u a deal. I live in NYC so it's easier, I can get that done for $200.
