Not built to take high rpms (only k20s). You can redline in an auto if you put it in a gear other than Drive (such as 2nd or 3rd)...again...not built to take it and you're responsible for the damage you will do. You can alter the redline with pcm/ecm tuning software which costs around 500-600 bucks.

Trust me! Your car stops making power and torque after about 6700 rpm, the more you go past that is a loss in power, plus you have valve float and cam walk in that motor! you want more rpm's it's a lot of money in honda's. I have two and an rx-7. swapped both hondas and they are great, but if you want sports buy a sports car. leave the honda alone gas is going back up! wish I still got good gas mileage! Thanks
P.S. nothing you can do can make it get more revs. it is actually tuned by honda to produce the most power before shift, and leave it in d3 don't burn thru the gears your car shifts faster and at a computer controled timing better than you can! also you cant tune that ecu it is obd2 and only thing you could do is megasquirt it and create your own tune. hondata and greddy and the likes don't have standalone for that car unless you have a swap(pretty sure on that) |

you have change gears yourself using the shifter. not a good idea to go over the redline for long period of time since you WILL start breaking things. the RPM's are limited by power and electronic governer. youll have to find a tuner or get your own kit and chip the ECU/ECM. but what ever happens is your fault
