Default Honda S2000 Question?

I saw on Edmund saying that 2005 honda S2000 consume a lot of gas. I would like to ask all the s2000 owner is that true s2000 consume a lot of gas compare to civic or accord? I'm looking at to buy an 2003-2005 s2000. I also want to buy a car does not consume too much gas. Should I buy an S2000 for that purpose? Or any suggestion. Thank you very much

Rated for 18mpg city and 24mpg hwy.

To be honest I'm not sure why a n/a 4 cylinder gets such low mpg.

yeah the F20C/F22C1 engine does consume a lot of gas. my brother gets around 16 MPG and it seriously drops up to 12 MPG when you floor it. I wouldn't consider fuel economy as a factor when it comes to driving a good car. That is a good engine, it has won a lot of awards. Honestly speaking, it all depends upon how you drive it and how you maintain it; the better you take care of it, the better it will run for you.

For a 4 Cylinder it doesn't get the best mileage 17 city 23 hwy. but hard driving/racing will make it less than that.

yes a s2000 consumes way more gas than a civic/accord.

most accords/civic's i have seen get at least 25 mpg or better. mine averages 345-360 to a 10 gallon tank (34.5-36 MPG, 99 Civic)
