Default Is it just me or are there more theives? What kind of person would steal a honda civic...

...with two car seats in i? We had our 97 honda civic stolen. It had two car seats installed in the back to carry two of our four children. It had all our daughter's softball equipment in it. There are a lot of other cars, even a convertable that was parked on the street with its top down, yet they broke into our car and stole the one with car seats in it. Not that I wish my neighbor's car was stolen, but it seems nonsensical to steal a car that is locked when an unlocked car was right next to it. without carseats,it was a teenagers car.

I understand that not everyone is a theif but there are a lot more out there right now, why steal our car when there is a convertible with it's top down parked next to it?

I worked in NYC and during my time there was pickpocketted twice once loosing my LIRR and subway monthlong combined which is worth a lot, then I have had people return my wallet one time that I dropped. I understand there are good people but there are a lot of bad people.

I've seen a number of Civics's and Integra's stolen and all that was missing was the computer. They put chips in them for performance enhancement purposes.Unfortunately the carpet was cut in the process to gain accessibility faster. I've also done a number of ignition's due to the car being stolen for joy rides. Hopefully your car will be recovered and when it is my advice is to install an alarm. Not that an alarm will prevent it from being stolen but it may deter it from being stolen. All cars can be stolen with or without an alarm it's a matter of how bad the thief wants the car and how good the thief is at stealing them. Sorry about your luck, hope this helps, and keep your fingers crossed that you get it back almost if not in one piece.
