Default What engine could I put in my 2001 Honda prelude VTI-R?

I have a 2001 Honda prelude VTI-R and it is burning a lot of oil, so I either needed to rebuild my engine, well at least the top part of it any way or could I put another engine into it with more horse power?

I've seen people putting an h23 vtec. Yes An actually h23 vtec. They either Just Build it, like with the h23 block and h22 head or they order the actual h23 from the accord sports wagon.

They saw it has more torque at the lower rpms.

I havent done this swap so i would really know if it actually does.

or you could always just put another h22!

First let's figure out where the oil is going. If you get a cloud of blue smoke on startup, that's most likely due to leaky valve guides or stem seals. Easily and cheaply fixable.

Otherwise try driving down a long hill with your foot off the gas, then floor it in top gear. Look in the rear view mirror. If you see a cloud of blue smoke, you have leaky rings and the engine needs a complete overhaul.

You're not going to find an engine that fits in there with significantly more horsepower.
