Default Are used Honda Civics any good?

I will be sixteen soon and I am looking at cars. Does anyone who owns a new or used Honda Civic have any problems with it? Is it a good car? Is it good on gas? What do you like about it? Is there a good competitive car that you have found that would cost less but is still as reliable? Please only answer if you own/ have owned a Honda Civic or a sports sadan.

Why a Sports Sedan? That's about as far from a civic as you get without looking at SUV's...

Anyway- the Civic is a GREAT car. reliable, cheap, great mileage, high resale... the only competition they really have is the Toyota corolla. Neither car is fast (no matter how big your muffler is) and neither car is flashy (though I like the look of the civic much more than the rolla) but they will last forever with basic maintenance and even the worst ones get better than 30mpg.

it depends on how good of shape the car is in when u buy it and if u take care of it it should last u a long time, and most cars are good on gas if u dont speed too much but yes hondas r especially good on gas as long as u dont floor it all the time and they r reliable and if something does go wrong on it they r one of the easiest cars to work on

The Corolla and the Civic are similar but the Civic is more performance driven and can be exceptionally fast if you know what you're doing to one. Unlike what many people may think^^^.

Anyway, they're dependable yes, and good on gas mileage. You can try to find a used Civic Si Sedan if you're interested in a compact sports sedan.

Honda civic's are probably the best car's for starting drivers, or anyone as a matter of fact. They are extremely good on gas, they have a very high resell value, very safe, most reliable car, they are easy to maintain and cheap to fix or even tune up. It's a very fun car to drive because they are pretty fast. I can't think of a problem with Honda civics. They look even better now with the digital speedometer. It makes you feel like you're in a car from the future. If you're looking for competitors, i might look at a mazda 3 or something, but i'd definitely get a honda. Honda's also last forever. I know people that have over 200,000 miles on their car with no problems at all. I'd get the Honda Civic Si if you're getting a new one and have the money. I'd also suggest you look into Acura Integra's. I like them more than the civic. It's a really really fun car to drive and looks really cool. Acura is made by honda, it's just the luxury brand. Good luck.

Civic is a very good economy box. Great for commuting. Honda makes these cars to be dependable, low maint, very economical cars that will last for well over 200,000 miles with a little basic maintenance. remember to make sure the timing belt and water pump was changed before 100k. You wont be sorry with a Civic, Accord or Prelude. You can expect the same results from Toyota Camry, Corrola or Celica.

Generally speaking, Honda civic is a good car. Perfect style, good engine, economical and reliable car. Honda Cars also have a good resale value. Hope this gives you an idea.

I have a Honda Civic. It went over 325,000 miles before anything parked it. I blew a piston, fixed it, and am now over 350,000 miles, still get 30 mpg. It's compact and fun to drive. Highly recommend.
