Cool 1995 Honda Accord EX starting problems in Texas?

This happens in random usually after seating over-night, but while starting the car the car acts like it is only trying to start on 2 cylinders and engine check light comes on and car stalls out... sometimes I can work thru it and it will run fine. I leave the car for a while and it starts OK and runs fine even when I try to use again while on the same trip the whole day w/o mishape.

Ant ideas where to start on this problem?
Tks,Gary
