Go turbo!

It's not rice, rice is having a two story spoiler that can make the car fly and has under car neon lights so you can see where you parked your car.

turbo will net you the most amount of power compared to a supercharger.

I going to go against the norm and say supercharger. Why? Power is there from when you idle to your red line. The downfall is the potential is not as great as a turbocharger. So don't think you're going to slap a supercharger on a b16 and make 400hp LOL. You'll make around 200hp, but you will have very nice powerband (and not to mention torque), and won't have to deal with lag.

supercharger you will be up the road before the turbo guys turbo has built up boost, plus less heat and longer lasting oil, he might beat you between 110mph and 150 but only if he can catch you

ignore that guy.....he knows squat about honda's, so his opinion on them is irrelevant....

i have always prefered turbocharging myself, but its down to taste, the supercharger will give you more instant power strait from launch, but a turbo won't kick in until around 3000rpm. i feel that an engine powerful enough for a aftermarket aspiration change doens't need the boost before 3000 anyway...so i would say the turbo provides the boost when the engine requires it more. people seem to prefer VTEC engines supercharged, they say it accompanies the VTEC better, i know several people with supercharged EP3 type-r's and one's gone on to buy a new focus RS (turbo), and he says the power is similar, but totally different in the way it applies itself. You can run more power with a turbo if you are planning to do a long term project, they are capable of higher pressure than most superchargers.

overall supercharger will be cheaper, but it depends on what kit you get, as i said, both make for good performance, just have different trates. you can get a centrifugal supercharger that works more like a turbo, whereas the positive displacement chargers provide lower boost across more of the rpm range. Civics, especially B-series engines have plenty of room in front of the exaust manifold for a turbo.

so i would turbo, ive been in supercharged and turbo'd cars and prefer the characteristics of a turbo.....but its your choice, generally speaking, for equal money spent you can get more speed from a turbo kit than a supercharger...my mates supercharger cost him 3,500....
