nothing was originally there where the cigarette lighters are, its just a empty gap, at least in mine that's the case, just a storage gap for things, and the button is a add on, put there by previous owner so can't say what its for, most probably under car/foot well neon's or something that's been taken out, the switch is a typical halfords job...

The three way is an add on from a non used panel on the dash.

The other picture is a auxillary switch. The top 1 figure is on, and the zero is off. It is impossible to know from the picture what is powering, but I would guess either fog or driving lights added on.

The three way lighter looks horrible. It is easier to get a small "Y" adpater from Radio Shack. It would fit in a lunch bag size baggie and is easily hidden.

Then the switch hole is very messy. Look at the hole. It looks like they just punched the hole with a phillips screw driver.

for the cupholder in the 96-98 Civic, above is just a pocket/empty hole for misc items,

i could of swore i have seen OEM CD players there, but i cant find evidence of it (meaning a picture).

for the switch to the right of the mirror control, its aftermarket and at that a bad job, it could be for anything or nothing (not hooked up), there is no way for us to let you know on that because we cant see where the wiring goes. (most likely its for fog lights, or something similar).
