Default is it possible to add power STERLING to 98 civic dx? and how much?

I got a pretty good deal on a 98 civic dx, everything is perfect, (I have mechanic checked that car), but only thing holds me back is there's no power steerling, the wheel feels so heavy to turn, so I'm thinking maybe i can add power steerling to that car if I want that car. Does anyone know if it's workable? and cost? Thank you

the previous owner (1st owner) told me it's no power steerling.

There should be power steering in your's probably just bunk in the car you have. Almost all cars have had power steering for at least 20 years.

Technically it is possible but on an 11 year old car highly unadviseable. It will be expensive and the engine was not set up to handle power steering so it will be additional drag on the engine and could cause the engine to stall if you were making sharp turns at near idle speed.

Bottom line: don't buy the car if you are not comfortable with manual steering

the DX had optional power steering, check to see if it has the power steering reservoir.

you can see the red cap in this picture, next to the blue by the left driver side headlight assembly.

that indicates you have power steering.

its true it could be with or without power steering as its a factory option to the DX.

i have a DX with power steering.

its a complete pain in the but you have to change the rack and pinion.

*still looking for a link to help out give me a minute*
