Default How often should I change the oil on my 1998 Honda CR-V?

Honestly...the manual says 7,500 miles, but it was probably a mistake in the translation from the Japanese.

Oil change is the life of a vehicle..CHange the oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles whichever comes first

No mistake. But changing it more often never hurts. Try Mobil 1 Extended Performance. It lasts a long time before breaking down. Usually the oil filter will decrease in performance before most oils do.

I don't think so since some Honda's are made here in the states and Japanese take English in school, almost all Japanese speak some English...

Newer vehicles say 7500 cause engines last longer now-a-days.

It's not a mistake but it also says if the car is being used in "normal service" and recommends more frequent changes for "severe service". Personally I change at about 5,000 or six months and just use ordinary oil such as Mobil, Castrol, or Quaker State.
