Default How much to fix or replace an alternator in a 95 Honda Accord?

So if there is something wrong with it.. I'm not sure if it gets fixed or replaced?... I obviously don't know a TON about car parts but about how much would this cost a person?

first you want to have charging system check befor e saying i need this fix

you want to know what needs fixing battery cables first place to remove and clean check belt

check battery check alternator if you can jump start it any shop or parts store can test charging system then you know whats bad and where or what to do next

if you find out its no good. and you are mechanically enclined then it would cost you anywhere from 120 to 150 dollar give or take couple of dollars, also depends on the year. but if you cant do it yourself then the should could cost you around about 250 to 300 dollars at a shop. agian depends on the year of the car.

Alternators are cheaper to replace than repair. They are available as "new","re-built" or "re-manufactured".A "RE-MAN" alternator has ALL the guts replaced, the re-built has just the worn out or broken part replaced. The site below has yours for $137.79 with no core deposit. An AC Delco unit is a little more at $248 and includes the new V.Regulator.Before throwing money at a part, have a shop run a system check under the hood.A BAD GROUND or an internal short in the Battery can throw you way off and make you think "alternator" when it isn't.Look before you leap!
