Default 98 accord 55w HID kit?

I ordered a ddm 55w 8000k HID kit for my 98 accord. I was wondering if the 55w will be to bright in my stock housing and if I will need a relay. Should I change to the 35w kit.

The 35w kit is the one you should get. The 55w kit will burn up your wiring harness.

I would suggest 35w and change to 6000K or 6500K. You don't want draw too must attention to your car with the cops. With 6000K you can get by.

A 55W kit will not be too bright in your headlamp housing. Being too bright is not a concern, it is the glare that you might cause of the brightness, but there is not actual danger to your housing.

I relay harness is probably a better idea since your vehicle is older than 10 years. The relay harness will prevent your factory wires from burning. A 35W kit is more widely used because of the increase of reliability, but if you already have a perfectly working 55W kit, there is no need for you to spend money and buy a new one.

I purchased my kits from www.mengmotorsports.com and am fully satisfied. They sell relay harnesses as well.
