Default Accord 2004 Cruise Control

I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX and the Cruise Control On/Off button on the steering wheel will not stay depressed. If I press the button, I feel it click and the light on the dash illumiates, but once I let go of the button, it just pops up. Dealership charged me $50 just to tell me that the switch needs to be replaced. And that would cost $250. I am on a tight budget right now and was wondering if there was a cheaper fix to this problem.
Thanks guys !
