Default I Have a 1996 honda civic cx and i want to know what to upgrade next?

I already have a cold air intake under the hood, and i wanted to know a quick way to gain horsepower. My uncle suggested to get a msd street fire ignition box to gain a few on his truck it was like night and day difference, any suggestions would be helpful!

dont listen to haters

they dont even know what they're in for lol

for the msd dont do it

its expensive and waste of money

thats 600 money right there

you can get a turbo kit already.

if you really want an upgrade invest 5k for a nice built motor like gsr or b16

you be happy you didnt waste wany money

I gave a thumbs up to Curiousteen. I would recommend you be patient and save your pennies. Then, buy an engine swap to a B16, or any B18 engine (depending on what you plan to do to your Civic. Turbocharging your current D16 engine will get results but you'll eventually be yearning for more. Starting with a B Series will give you more options and you will have power similar to boosting you current engine before you even add a turbo kit.

A performance chip that will not leave an electronic foot print and reset back to the factory settings when removed.

A performance cat back exhaust system.

A turbo charger with intercooler and about 8 pounds of boost.

Nitrous oxide works good on this car and engine.

Upgraded spark plugs like Bosch + 4.

don't listen to the haters.especially the dodge owner who doesn't know that they are hard to work on cars that usually fail. they don't have much potential and waste gas(American...sigh). i have seen people make hondas whip the craap out of dodges,Subaru,Toyota, etc. there is so much potential in even a B16(1.6 liter). so go with the ignition first. it helped my Honda especially on hills.

get a new car and STOP RICING YOUR CIVIC!!! Those cars have no power, you just are ruining what was a good econobox. I love Hondas as I have an RSX-S..people like you give honda owners a bad name running around with your loud little cars.
