Default Need Help Understanding The Turbo I bought?

So I bought a turbo that came off some car with a internal wastegate but he said he removed the internal wastegate and welded a bolt in the small hole above the turbine wheel, he welded a pipe to where the down pipe goes and welded the header to the turbo so it could fit his 1994 honda civic, but I'm worried about the bolt above the turbine wheel, what will happen if I leave the bolt in?

So now if I wanted to sell it how much could I sell it for?

The bolt thats welded on above the turbine wheel, how will that affect boost or create boost.

a picture would probably explain it better... but if the turbo spins freely and as not up and down or side to side play then it should be fine...check an make sure that the wheel does not hit the bolt. im assuming that hes talkin about the head of the bolt.

as of selling it since the person you got it from pretty much ghetto-fied it....maybe 50 bucks. nobodys going to want a turbo thats been cobbled as bad as what you are saying

edit:

the only way you could use that turbo is by running or using an external wastegate. but if the manifold has no adapter for a external wastegate and the turbo is welded to the manifold....well then you got screwed out of your money.

wtf was that guy thinking? he probably welded the wastegate shut, meaning that you won't be able to control the amount of boost you're producing, meaning that your turbo will spin faster, and faster, and faster, until you blow the whole damn car/turbo up. might as well throw the thing away... I wouldn't put it on my car
