I certainly hope you do more than just basic repairs for that price. A professional installation at a well known, reputable shop doesn't even run half of that. A dyno tune at EFI University doesn't even cost that much, and they are some of the best tuners in the world.

$300 with an aftermarket rebuild unit.

$400 with a new OEM one.

$200 for a good used one.

Reason to replace should be satisfied first, changing part may not solve problem.

Depending upon where you buy it and what the labor rates are where you live. The dealership where I work gets somewhere in the range of 600 installed. You can do it yourself with a 12mm socket. Three bolts and 2 electrical connectors. Be sure to mark the rotor and distributor location before removal so you can install it the right way. good luck
