Default 1994 civic will not start?

ok so i own a 1994 honda civic ex which has the d16z6... here recently it threw a code at me telling me to replace the o2 sensor, replaced it and it turned the check engine light off... the the check battery light came on followed by car dieing... alt belt ripped off... replaced that... now that you the whole spill on info... i was trying to start my car and as soon as i turned the car over and got the key back to the on position it dies... does this multiple times... little trick i did was turn it over and then give it gas and it vrooom starts up... kinda idles funny around 6-700 looked it up says its normal but doesn't feel it... kinda ruff... now when i tryed to start it after driving it a little while it didn't wanna turn over any more... i would turn the key and nothing happens... i know the fuel pump is working... i checked the starter and the battery and nodda... it doesn't even sound like it is trying to start... i hear no noice when i try to turn it on not even the starter trying to engauge... what could be causing this... now i can push start the vehicle and get it to turn over that way but not with the key... hmm can some one please help me... i have been trouble shooting this for about a week and im already getting tired of hunting for ansers

Check your battery, starter, fuel pump and fuel pump relay. One could be not working properly. Hope this helps!

Sounds to me like you need the electrical portion of the ignition switch. It's a pretty common problem on this model. Alot of the times having too many keys on the key ring that your ignition key is on contributes to this type of failure in the switch from the constant excessive weight. Also check the clutch safety switch, but this isn't as common as the ignition switch. good luck, hope this helps.
