Default 93 honda VX coupe, 5 speed transmission, 1500 cc.?

can I use a tranny from a different model of civic, or a solara or something? How hard is it to just rebuild the transmission? I am fairly mechanicly minded.

vx model are only hatchback

but you can use any d series tranny

its easy to rebuild manual transmission

but for the tranny its cheaper to replace with used than rebuilding or just buying one single brand new part
