Default Turbo in Stock 2000 civic EX 5spd

I have a 2000 honda civic EX coupe 5 speed trans with 80k miles. I found a T3 .48/.60 turbo on ebay around 200 bucks. I am only looking to boost this daily driver up a few HP, (stock is 127 would be great if turbo could get me up to 180hp) I don't race or anything like that just wondering what is all involved in putting a turbo in a otherwise stock d16y8? Thanks guys.

If it's an Ebay turbo, don't waste your money. Ebay turbos are garbage, and you will be wasting your money. Not to mention you will still need a ton more parts just to install it. If you are set on the idea of boosting your D16, piece together a kit on your own using quality parts--even used ones are better than brand new Ebay turbo parts.

180 hp from a stock motor with a small turbo is not going to be easy, nor reliable, unless you put some good money into a tune.

Don't listen to anybody else who will post that their cousin or their brother or their neighbor or whoever boosted theirs with 6 or 8 or 10 pounds of boost and it was fine. Every application is going to be different, and the setup is only as good as the tune.

6lbs from one turbo is NOT the same as 6lbs from another turbo. The only way (if you choose to boost) to know where you are at with numbers or if it will be reliable will be to tune it by a reputable tuner. Ebay chips or "my friends ECU" won't run your car right.
