Default Brake Pads and Roters 2006 Honda Civic?

Last year, November 08, just Ceramic front brake pads. A few days ago the grinding/scrapes started. It grinds when I press the brakes and sometimes it grinds when I drive a slow. I know I need pads, should I stick with Ceramics and most likely need roters, what kind and about how much should they run me ? If I buy them online, where should I buy them and who should I have install them ? My dad said that since it just started, they should be able to "turn" the roters instead of replacing them. Thanks !

I would take them in to the local auto repair shop and have that fixed.

If your hearing grinding on your honda then unfortunetly it's too late to turn the rotors. After the rotors have been scored the chances of the rotors still being within turnable spec.s are slim to nil. Now a days Honda rotors are cheap, and it would cost as much in labor to turn them even if they could. As far as what and where to have it done my advice to you would be to ask someone you know if they know any repair shops that are TRUSTWORTHY and I'd also let the shop do the ordering although it will cost more it will be less of a headache for you. Front brakes on a Honda with new rotors can be done in as little as 15 minutes but most shops will charge you 1 to 1 and a half hours labor. Good luck, cause you'll need it cause I'd say maybe 20% of auto repair shops now a days are Honest especially with the economy the way it is.
