Default need help installing a deck in a '95 honda civic, can someone help me?

i have a jvc deck i wanna put in my car. ok so basically i took out the stock radio, and i used a wiring diagram of both my civic and my deck to properly attach the wires together, then i plug it into my deck for a test run before i screw everything back in place and it doesn't turn on, so i figured i got the constant 12V and the switched 12V mixed up, so i switched them, i test it again and my deck turns on and i hear the cd player eject (nothing comes out, the deck is empty) and it turns back off, and every time i press the eject button it turns on for a few seconds, ejects and turns back off...i double and triple checked the wiring diagrams online and on my deck manual and i had it correct the 1st time, this deck is less then a year old and i had it in my other car before i got rid of it and i never had any problems... i checked the fuses and they are all fine, even the deck fuse and i tried to reset the deck but nothing works...does any1 know what the problem may be?

Most Stereo Decks NEED to be grounded NOT only by the ground in the wire harness but to the chassis of the vehicle as with any other electronics on the vehicle. under the dashboard and all within and behind is a metal type frame support that is grounded so when you place the deck into its din and any metal brackets on the din to the chassis/dash frame will help complete the ground circuitry. as simple as it sounds yet in the back of your head your thinking you don't want to do double work by securing everything to find it won't work, but really you should just complete the install, then test.

It is a common mishap with these type installs by misperception. many people have thought they have failed the wiring or crossed wires, but all it was is the simple finish to complete the circuitry to proper operation of the component.

**and if even after that you find that the stereo No longer opperates or not proper function, chances are within disconnection, storing, handling, installing and/or connecting may have resulted in damages now. Ya it worked before with NO problems to now..
