Default new project 91 civic hatch... need help!?

so i just picked up a 91 civic hatch with d15b1 and 4-speed tranny. the brakes are going out so the first thing im doing is a front and rear gsr brake conversion. i want to do a b series swap but i have Very limited funds. so i was considering doing an mpfi conversion then boosting the exsisting engine. what upgrades would i have to do??? (if thats even a good idea)

You could do a b18 swap out of a integra for very cheap. Secondly I would just boost the b18 as the d15 is not a very powerful engine and the b18 has more potential but you would just have to build up the internals to boost it. Rods and pistons and nice turbo kit and you should be set for boost.

Simple projects i seen around here is the b18a1 or b18a2 LS intgeras. Those engines dont cost as much as most engines and their nonvtec but how ever nonvtec motors are more easier to boost than the ones that has vtec. You can most likely get the engines from junk yards, craigslist ect or even buy a cheap integra and see if you can sell the shell. I have seen integras and worked on one thats a LS turbo with not much internals done except cams boosted if i remember at 12 psi (been a while not to sure) and was able to push close if not 200 hp. For a little honda thats actually a lot of power and still pretty cheap to do not to mention how light your 91 hatch must be to. I also have a cousin that has a 95 hatch with a b18a2 turbo and was able to hit low 14s and best time ever was 13.8 for just a simple stock ls turbo. Later on when he had enough money he rebuilt the whole motor with new head, cams, piston, ecu ect. and now his fastest time ever was 12.4
