We recently purchased a 2008 Pilot with less than 15K miles total. It was a leased vehicle with 1 owner (carfax checked out). Since we purchased it, it has made a clicking noise sporadically. An independent mechanic suspected it to be coming from the idler pulley area. Several dealerships denied any unusual noise coming from the engine.
Recently, we had it towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with a broken camshaft. Is this this a lemon with the 3.5L V6 or is this strictly a fluke (rare occurence)? According to the dealer there is no record of repair history for this vehicle other than an oil change at 14.7K miles. |
