It's a used 2003 Honda Civic EX 5 speed manual transmission coup with 52,000 miles. The person selling it is my girlfriends Dad's friend. He wanted 7800 for it, he dropped it down to 7100 for me. It was totaled in a rear end accident, and he fixed it up. The back looks pretty good, but there is a little cosmetic damage. I brought it to some mechanics and got mixed reviews. Heres a break down of what I have to think about.
Good: Around what Kelly Blue book suggests for this car Manual Transmission, which is important to me Drove it for a total of 2 and a half hours, drives well, nothing seemed wrong with it He is going to give me a 6 month warranty because I am a friend of the family, if ANYTHING goes wrong, he'll fix it free of charge. 52,000 miles, which isn't that much, especially for a Honda. Bad: Was in a bad accident, the back has some moderate cosmetic damage, the trunk is slightly uneven, the back bumper is a little bit too big because it was stock. Not very noticeable though. The back is probably not as strong as it was prior to the accident. I have been looking around and I haven't seen much better, the Honda dealership was trying to put me in cars that cost twice the price of this one. So do you think I should do it? I need to know by the end of today. http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pric...rivate%20Party Thats the link to the Kelly Blue Book value That is for a new one, but the private party value of fair was 7500 dollars. It doesn't have a clean title but it runs better than a fair car would. I'm 20, it will actually be my third car. My first was a 93 mazda protege, then a 98 Kia Sephia which is close to dead now. This will be the first car that I purchase and is not a hand me down. |

A CIVIC? Does it got VTEC? You can put a spoiler and a mean body kit on it and start racing. The downforce from that spoiler will give you like, 50 extra horsepower. Then you just need to take your exhaust right out. Itll make it sound mean. Why get a manual? You need to get an automatic so you dont gotta concentrate on anything else while you're racing. Then you can put some cool paint on it and man, itll beat anything on the road right now. Dont forget about rims either. Never, ever forget about rims. Man, your cars gonna be so fast...

you have to be joking right? an accident damaged car is worth virtually nothing to people who know about cars only people who know nothing about cars would even look at one, the damage has been badly repaired and you don't even know about unseen damage to suspension, fuel tank, rear brakes or exhaust system/muffler or the floor pan it has been patched up to LOOK good not to BE good.
the link you give is the price from a dealer in perfect condition with a full warranty it has no relevance to the lemon you are being offered, be smart walk away you will regret buying this car |
