Yes you can fit a smaller engine into a bigger engines bay. Why you would want to is beyond me but yes you can... Honestly though if you can't answer that question you have no business under the hood of a car. |

No, you cant.
The 2ltr engine has a different wiring loom, ECU and transmission casing bolt pattern. Re-build the 2.2, its quite an easy engine to work on, plus the parts are cheap and readily available. Failing that, phone around some breakers as the 2.2 engine is very common. |
