hi i need to know what motor a 1992 prelude has in i am going to buy one and the guy says that it is a v tech but did the make v tech then? thanks i need help i dont want tto buy it if its not v tech

If it's a 2.2 litre, the engine will be an F22A, which is not a VTEC engine. If it is a 2.0 litre, it will be an F20, which is also not VTEC.

yes they made Vtec engines then. Get the vin number and call a honda dealership parts department they can tell you what engines in it by the vin number.
