i have a 95 prelude with 205 40 16, and when accerating it starts to shake and rattle everything...not terribly bad...but to a point where its quite annoying and embarrasing if u have someone in the car.
i wanted to know why does it shake? and whats the thickest tire i can put on without it looking ridiculously high because i have a body kit |

It might shake if one or more of the tires is out of balance. Have you had them rotated and balanced since the problem started?
And www.tirerack.com might be able to help you with your tire size question. |

ummm.... reasons it could shake
1. alignment 2. wheel balance 3. air damn misplacement 4. loose motor mounts 5. lugs are loose 6. struts are "gone" 7. springs are weak 8. camber is off 9. rack n pinion is jacked 10. transmission is skipping I rattled off those ten answers in 15 seconds. As far as tires are concerned if it's off the ground call it good |
