A couple months ago I had my grand national stolen with over 30k invested in it. Two days later I found it stripped to death....































After this I put kill switches in all my cars. They tried to steal my other "daily car" 96 civic.































The kill switched worked and the car was not stolen. They broke my whole steering column and they "tried" to steal it. They failed but they destroy my whole column.































Thats not the worst part. The car is completely dead. The battery is connected and lights will not turn on or windows will not go down, radio, etc..































What could they of done? its not the battery because it new and had it tested.

The steering column in most cars have at least 50 vital wires going through it, also there could be wiring from the fuse box, which can be near the column, severed through rendering all accessories (windows, radio..etc) dead. Its also possible when they tried to hotwire the car, they shorted out a main fuse(s), which are usually located under to hood somewhere. These main fuses are for major parts in the car and you could have some blown. Could also be the kill switch that has to be reset. If the Civic has an immobiliser(anti theft kill mech. basically a kill switch like yours), this has most likely been triggered. You might need to contact Honda to reset it.































So somewhere, there is an electrical fault.
