and i'm always being told to look at the miles. that 100,000 is good for a used car. what if its 200,000? it that really bad and something not worth buying?

correct, if you can get the car for 600, then go ahead, but for 1900 thats too much

I advise to keep looking.

I try not to look at the miles, but at the condition of the car. If it is running good and is well looked after AND the timing belt has been changed recently, it will probably run until you tire of it. (but I would try to negotiate a better price)

a good idea when buying a used car is to determine how much the car is going to cost you in repairs.















ask to see the service records. parts that haven't been replaced on the vehicle yet, are surely on their last leg.















also figure in how much the labor is going to cost and what will be your additional expenses if the car is in the shop for a few days including towing.

all boots and bushings in the steering linkage and drive train

...and pretty much everything else

That is too much. I like the car and it will probably be fine as ive had several around that mileage but still its probably worth more like $1000-$1250 at best

you're buying a credit card with debt on it. I'd buy the car- and put my ex in it and send it off a cliff. I want her to go out in style- in a Honda.















BUT, if you must inquire, ask, has teh engine been rebuilt? new tranny? otherwise run away, don;t walk
