Where is the security system "main unit" located in a 2000 S2000?

Depending on who installed it, it's more than likely somewhere under the dash. If it was factory installed it may be hidden a bit better behind the dash so you'll have to remove some panels or it could be behind the glove-box. If it's a best buy install or something like that then the alarms main brain is most likely in the worst spot right above the pedals in a wiring mess, might as well just be on the floor. If a professional shop did it then the alarm brain is probably hidden up under the dash behind the A/C, Gauge Clusters, middle A/C vents, somewhere only accessible if the entire dash came out.































Point is, start by looking under/behind the dash.

the factory security system control unit is located under the left side of the dash just above the hood release. there should be a white connector and the control unit is probably taped to a black wiring harness.
