Yes it will work, it's very common for people with an EG (1992-1995) or EK (1996-2000) Civics to swap out their D series motor for a B series."How would a professional handle this?"















They'd install it just like any other engine. But first you have to find a place who's willing to do it. A lot of places won't do it unless they order a motor themselves and it's to replace a bad one. Look for professional shops in your area that specialize in imports and aftermarket performance. Don't ask the local Firestone or Pepboys or whoever if they can do it.















Swaps are best done yourself but I'm assuming you don't have all the tools, if you have any friends who can help I'd ask them to give you a hand.
