Hi guys,
I think I want to buy a new Honda Coupe soon and I was just wanting to know which one is faster. I know the Accord V6 coupe has 271 horsepower which is more than the civic SI coupe but i know the civic is a lot lighter. Which one do you think is actually faster? |

ive driven both, the accord coupe is a much nicer car but it is more money, and without looking it up i thought it was only 267 horse, and the SI is 197 i believe, but the civic "feels" faster, and is more excing to drive,
the SI is a blast to drive but it feels "cheap" compared to the accord, so if all you care about is speed get the SI, its 8-9K redline and sports suspension work well if you want reasonable speed and a car with more class and money is not a concern, then get the accord |

As the owner of both a Civic and a Accord I would look for more than just speed. The Accord has more horsepower, but the Civic was infinitely more fun to drive. Not to mention the Civic was a 5 speed stick and I felt more in control of the car.
Too bad most can not have both instead of having to choose. You must look beyond the speed factor, and which car will fit you best. Good Luck. |
