ok i juss got my license and im buying a 94 honda accord lx with sunroof, for $850 with NO mechanical problems. is that a good/reliable car to have for a 1st car? is that a good price if it has NO mechanical problems? thanks for everything .

ive always heard the honda's are good cars, although ive never owned one, but 850 is a great price, but check it out and make sure t has no problems

I had a 88 and it was very good.

some little things in New Jersey rust and salt and muffler fell off, but worked all the time and was great to go to wrk and home.

the 94-97 are 5th generation accords and some say the best ever made..... i have a 95 with 342,000 miles. just make sure timing belt is changed every 90K to 100K miles...breaking a timing belt on a honda will ruin it since they are interference engines.......pistons will hit valves....so you cannot skip the timing belt maintenance on it.

I agree with "joel95ex".I also have a high mileage "GEN 5" accord.A 96' LX Sedan.It starts every single time.Won't leave you stranded.For the Money you paid,I'd say congratulations.A good intro price for a 15 yr old car.If you take care of it, you'll have a Friend for life.Drive safe.
